Current mood: working

I don't want to do the math on how much I've spent getting ready for Dragon*Con this year. Ink alone was $140. The mats and bags were another $150. And then there's the $200 panel rental. I haven't gotten to the postage yet, or the frames for the four paintings.

And let's not even think about the time this has taken. I really, really hate the business side of the art business!

(This is Ebon, my sister's Eberron Kalishtar psyonic--or, at least, my version of him. The painting isn't quite done, but is almost finished)

On the personal side, we are blessed to have our neice Anna with us again this week. She's four now, and talks up a storm. It's very cute to watch her and Kyle doing puzzles. Tad starts "building school" tomorrow--it's hard to believe how old the kids are getting! I really don't feel old enough to have teenagers!!

This is my favorite one, I think. He kind of reminds me of Mark for some reason.

I know the feeling RJ started college last saturday and actually did his homework without being told. I'm sure this is a honeymoon period and he will start sliding back to his old ways as soon as he gets into ALL his classes. Which starts the end of Sept.

He's studying computers? Or am I remembering wrong?

Kyle has kept up honeymoon period, so maybe he's actually matured! Wouldn't that be nice! I still waste about an hour at the start of every morning, convincing him that Yes, we really ARE going to do school today. Once convinced, though, he has not been crying or goofing off too much. We are two weeks into school, and have kept up.

Maturity is a big thing. RJ doesn't have the same reaction to things as he did when he was younger. Yes he is studying computers. Oddly one of the core classes is human relations and Socialogy. He surprisingly is taking it in stride and even is thinking positively about it. Figuring it will teach him more about how society acts.
